Schoobio

Schoolyard Biodiversity Community

Schoobio empowers middle and high school teachers and students across the globe.

Teachers use experiential and place-based learning methods, unleashing the potential for ecological school grounds to increase biodiversity and connect students with the natural world and each other through international, student-driven projects.

Schoobio addresses these United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:

Funding and support for Schoobio is provided by Project Central; the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism; Johnson County Community College computing science and information systems students; and Johnson County Master Naturalists. Thank you to all of the teachers and students who have offered insights and suggestions for improvements to the program!

These resources provide more information about biodiversity, ecosystem restoration, and how ecological school grounds contribute benefits for students, teachers, and community members.
